Miesha Theresa Tate, born August 18, 1986, is an American mixed martial artist. She is a participant in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and is a former UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion. Tate was previously a competitor for Strikeforce, in which she was a former Strikeforce Women's Bantamweight Champion. Tate was vice-president of ONE Championship. She currently ranks 10 in UFC women's bantamweight rankings on October 3rd, 2022.



 



 Childhood and early life



 Tate was born in the Seattle suburb Tacoma, Washington, to Michelle Tate, and was raised by Michelle and husband Robert Schmidt. As a child Tate often played with her fellow boys from her neighborhood at the playgrounds.
